Just wanted to touch on a few things coming up on the horizons and some personal thoughts, since we had no UFC this weekend. The first, the end of football season marked the end of the only sport I can watch other than MMA. I think I heard Joe Rogan say on one of his podcast that sports are a method of men showing their dominance over other men. He went on to say something along the lines that MMA is the ultimate expression of dominance. I completely agree!

Football I think is also a decent expression of dominance, but by no means can throwing a touchdown pass, making a big hit or scoring on a QB sneak compare to detaching someone from their senses to win a fight. I can’t wrap my head around sitting on the coach and watching a golf tournament where a ball is being hit ounce every five minutes. I’d rather watch kitten fights on youtube! Even basketball I’m not a huge fan of watching on TV, the last two minutes of each game get good on occasion but for the most part I find myself flipping through the channels during a game. Don’t get me wrong going to see a game live and participating in the sport I find plenty of enjoyment in. Point being this weekend I missed UFC and the NFL.

So we got Diego Sanchez coming back after a long break and tons of stories about him squandering all his money, alcohol abuse, partying, etcetera. These stories are hard to believe the way Sanchez out cardios guys on a regular basis. I know after I have had a fun filled weekend of adult beverages and female companionship my cardio isn’t what it was Friday before happy hour. I hope Diego is getting his stuff together, he and Clay Guida are my favorite wrestlers to watch fight. I don’t really know if Ellenburger is really the guy you want to fight after such a long layoff, the guy is putting it all together right now in the best run of his career.

Got to comment on a fight on the Fuel card that’s in my weight class because I pay a lot of attention and dissect these happenings. TJ Dillishaw VS Walel Watson, I feel like Team Alpha Male is the equivalent of a big time lobbyist in DC. Between the countless title shots and now a hand picked stylistic match up for TJ I almost don’t want to write this so I’d have a shot to get in that camp. Maybe corporate America just finds them to be the most marketable thing since OJ; look how that turned out. I think this a great match up for TJ because Watson couldn’t stop a takedown from a junior high JV wrestler. His stand up is average at best and his BJJ is not great when you take away his guillotine. Speaking of junior high, TJ will probably dry hump him like a horny seventh grader for 15 minutes.

Any hoot, I got my opponent for my title defense in Mexico. The dead mans name is Rodolfo “Fito” Rudio (7-4), he holds the featherweight belt for the XFL a promotion out of Mexico City. I think it will be a good fight for about 3 ½ minutes. It’s going down March 24th from Monterrey, Mexico and it will be streamed on the web live. I’ll post the link as soon as I get it.
